A Proposal for a New Block Encryption Standard
نویسندگان
چکیده
A new secret-key block cipher is proposed as a candidate for a new encryption standard. In the proposed cipher, the plaintext and the ciphertext are 64 bit blocks, while the secret key is 128 bit long. The cipher is based on the design concept of \mixing operations from di erent algebraic groups". The cipher structure was chosen to provide confusion and di usion and to facilitate both hardware and software implementations.

A New Method for Encryption of Color Images based on Combination of Chaotic Systems
This paper presents a new method for encryption of color images based on a combination of chaotic systems, which makes the image encryption more efficient and robust. The proposed algorithm generated three series of data, ranged between 0 and 255, using a chaotic Chen system. Another Chen system was then started with different initial values, which were converted to three series of numbers from...
متن کاملDeal -a 128-bit Block Cipher
We propose a new block cipher, DEAL, based on the DES (DEA). DEAL has a block size of 128 bits and allows for three key sizes of 128, 192, and 256 bits respectively. Our proposal has several advantages to other schemes: because of the large blocks, the problem of the \matching ciphertext attacks" is made small, and the encryption rate is similar to that of triple-DES. We conjecture that the mos...
متن کاملDoS-Resistant Attribute-Based Encryption in Mobile Cloud Computing with Revocation
Security and privacy are very important challenges for outsourced private data over cloud storages. By taking Attribute-Based Encryption (ABE) for Access Control (AC) purpose we use fine-grained AC over cloud storage. In this paper, we extend previous Ciphertext Policy ABE (CP-ABE) schemes especially for mobile and resource-constrained devices in a cloud computing environment in two aspects, a ...
متن کاملSecurity of Iterated Hash Functions Based on Block Ciphers
Cryptographic hash functions obtained by iterating a round function constructed from a block cipher and for which the hash-code length is twice the block length m of the underlying block cipher are considered. The computational security of such hash functions against two particular attacks, namely, the free-start target and free-start collision attacks, is investigated; these two attacks differ...
متن کاملSerpent: A New Block Cipher Proposal
We propose a new block cipher as a candidate for the Advanced Encryption Standard. Its design is highly conservative, yet still allows a very efficient implementation. It uses the well-understood DES S-boxes in a new structure that simultaneously allows a more rapid avalanche, a more efficient bitslice implementation, and an easy analysis that enables us to demonstrate its security against all ...
